Did you know that this week is National Infertility Awareness Week (NIAW)? I’ll venture to say probably not. Infertility certainly isn’t something to celebrate and it’s not often talked about, hence the whole have a week dedicated to raising awareness. NIAW was started to raise awareness, promote advocacy, and help couples cope. The reality is that 1 in 8 couples have trouble getting pregnant or carrying a pregnancy to term.
