When life gives you lemons….you make a lemon inspired tiered tray display. Lemons are currently “IN” for the home decor department and why not? They add a nice pop of color and they’re a reminder of nicer weather. Lemons remind me of lemonade which is synonymous with summer. Am I right?
I’ve been on the hunt for lemon inspired decorative pieces and accents for this tiered tray for a while now. I frequent Michael’s, Target, HomeGoods, and Joann’s in search of items for my tiered tray displays. Sometimes it’s a big swing and a miss and I can’t find anything I like. Other times it’s a huge score and I want to buy everything. My one rule of thumb is to never pay full price for any of these pieces (except Rae Dunn). Most of the decorative pieces are 40-70% off at the craft stores and if not there are usually coupons available in their respective apps. I highly recommend using them and only pay full price for items you can’t live without or if there are limited quantities.
When all else fails and I don’t find what I need or I don’t like the price in the local stores I resort to my own crafting skills. Remember those farmhouse beads I made a while back? They also made a guest appearance in this tiered tray display. I also wanted a small lemon sign for the tray, but I knew I would probably be on my own for that seeing as a lemon sign is pretty specific.
